Odisha SSC Announces Recruitment Notice For Inspector of Supplies under Departments of Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare; and Gram Panchayat Extension Officer and Progress Assistant under Panchayat Rah Department
According to the recent notification released on 27th of August 2015 from The Odisha Staff Selection Commission, there are openings for Inspector of Supplies Posts under Departments of Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare; and Gram Panchayat Extension Officer and Progress Assistant Posts under Panchayat Rah Department. The details of the vacancies and the recruitment procedure are described underneath:

Inspector of Supplies [Post Code: 35/SUI] – 45 Vacancies
Gram Panchayat Extension Officer [Post Code: 19/GPEO] – 59 Vacancies
Progress Assistant [Post Code: 18/PA] – 92 Vacancies
Out of total position of 196 vacancies, 31 posts will be reserved for SC, 35 post will be reserved for ST, 05 posts will be reserved for SEBC candidates, and 125 posts will be Unreserved. There is 10 post reserved for Women candidates from SC category, 12 post reserved for Women candidates from ST category, 02 post reserved for Women candidates from SEBC category, 41 post reserved for Women candidates from UNRESERVED category.
Mode of Selection: The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of preliminary examination of 100 marks, main written examination of 300 marks, followed by Interview/ Viva-voice test of 30 marks.
Opening Date for Submission of Online Application: 29-August-2015
End Date for Online Submission of Application: 28-September-2015 till 1159 Hours
Age: Minimum 21 years and maximum 32 years as on January 01, 2015. The upper age limit is relaxable up to five years for SEBC/ SC/ ST and Women candidates.PWD candidates will get ten years of relaxation in upper age limit.
Academics: The candidates must have a Bachelors Degree from recognized university, and Odia as a one of the languages in their matriculation subjects. The candidate must have passed some equivalent qualification in Odia till middle school standard. Computer knowledge is desirable.
Scale of Pay: Rs. 9,300-34,800/- (Pay Band-2) plus Grade Pay 4,200/- plus other provisions as per government norms.
Examination Fee: Candidates can make the payment of Rs. 100/- through Online/ Offline mode using the Treasury Portal/ by the conventional mode of deposit in the Treasury. SC/ ST/ PWD candidates are exempted from payment of examination fee.
Candidates can make the payment via E-Payment mode through the official portal www.odishatreasury.gov.in; OR by Online mode by using Net Banking or Debit Card. OR
Candidates can also be paid the fee pay through offline mode in form of Challan drawn under the Head of Account “0051-PSC-104-UPSC/SSC-Examination Fees-0047-Fees collected for conducting examinations-02041-Examination Fees” OR through the Conventional mode into the Treasury under the “Head of Account-0051-PSC-104-UPSC/SSC-Examination Fees-0047-Fees collected for conducting examinations-02041-Examination Fees”.

Candidates are suggested to take two printed copy of application form as OSSC copy and Applicants copy; for further references. Only those candidates who qualify in written examination shall have to submit the duly signed OSSC copy of online submitted application, along with DAF, original and self attested copies of required documents/ certificates as mentioned in official advertisement in the office of Commission on the date of Viva-voce test.
