Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited was incorporated on 19th July, 2000 under Companies Act 1956. It is a public sector undertaking under Energy Department, Government of Rajasthan. Rajasthan government constituted this organisation for development of power projects and maintenance and operation of power stations owned by state. Since its inception RVUN has been a premium leader of power generation for ultimate development of state and its citizens. It’s efficient and well equipped power generating stations have acquired a good reputation in country. Total installed capacity of its stations is 4097.35 MW. RVUN possesses 3 Hydel power stations namely Mahi Hydel Power Station, Chambal River Valley Development Project and Jawahar Sagar Hydel Power Station along with 10 projects under Mini Micro Hydel Scheme.
