Its Time To Prep Up For Law School Through LSAT In Any Part Of The World

For all the aspiring lawyers in the country and outside, the chance to fulfil their dreams stares in their faces through the law school admission test or LSAT. There are many tests and entrances for admissions into law colleges. Even, many colleges offer law courses without any entrance exam and anyone applying for it gets through with ease. But, it is a matter of prestige and genuineness to enter into the colleges which are exclusively made for law studies through this particular examination.

  • In actuality, the LSAT is a worldwide test similar to TOEFL, GMAT, etc which can be taken up by the students from any part of the world for any college or institute.
  • It is a unique test in the way that the test is conducted only for admitting students into the law stream in various law colleges in India.
  • Its uniqueness is increased by the basing of the test on the design of US based Law School Admission Council, which conducts similar tests for admission to law schools in America, Canada and Australia. Gradually many other countries are also picking up this test to become lawyers.
  • LSAT has based the test on the ability of reading and answering verbal reasoning questions.
  • In India, the test is conducted on the same pattern by the Pearson Law School and gives fineness to the manner of selection of candidates.

The LSAT Indian version is conducted in 16 specific test centre locations which are named as Pearson VUE test centres, four times in a year, specifically in the months of June, September, December and February with the June examination considered as the start of a fresh year. This test is presently pencil based for the students taking the exam in India while overseas students have to appear it online which is to be computer based.

The genesis of the test is from a non profitable organisation of LSAC, which started with the conglomerate of 200 law schools in America and Canada to evaluate new lawyers and also maintain a database of theirs. This was supposed to evaluate the performance and store applicant information.

Examination pattern:

The exam pattern of LSAT involves test on the reasoning and analysis ability of the candidate who is meant to go through 6 sections of tests, which include logical reasoning, reading comprehension, analytical reasoning, and two unscored sections where the candidates are not aware of the contents prior to the tests. This is what has brought the LSAT tests to the high standards that it has reached presently.

A point that the students need to keep in mind before taking the LSAT India is that they should understand the eligibility criteria. Each law school has its own eligibility conditions which could be found in the individual college’s webpage. Only after satisfying themselves that they fulfil the criteria should students go for participating in the LSAT because there has to be a payment of fees done for the exam.

It is the phased manner of the test and the simplicity of getting examined in the aptitude and reasoning ability, which has made the test sought after by the aspirants of law colleges in India. Though the process started in America and Canada, Indian students are nowadays taking up the test keenly in order to ensure that they have a wide scope of admission. Even, hopes of getting admitted in foreign law schools are high with the LSAT scores.
