Executive Trainee- 183 Posts

Discipline wise Vacancies:
Chemical : 28 vacancies
Electrical : 32 vacancies
Mechanical : 75 vacancies
Electronic : 26 vacancies
Industrial and Fire Safety : 10 vacancies
Instrumentation : 12 vacancies

Qualification: Candidates must possess BE/ B.Tech/ B.Sc. (Engineering) Degree from a recognized university/ institution.

Upper Age Limit: 26 years as on 15-May-2016. However, relaxation in upper age limit applicable as per government rules.

Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited came into existence in September, 1987 as a public sector undertaking.  It is a wholly government owned organisation that was created with an objective of designing, construction, maintenance and operation of atomic power stations for various uses. As its introduction suggests, being a nuclear power sector it is managed by Department of Atomic Energy. NPCIL is one its kind company in India that works using nuclear fuel sources. All nuclear plants of NPCIL are ISO – 14001 certified for Environment Management System. It has been a vital organisation that generates electricity for various programmes of Indian government under Atomic Energy Act 1962.

Since its commencement NPCIL has been a solely responsible body that works towards management of India’s commercial nuclear power plant. Till 2010 NPCIL owned 20 nuclear reactors that are situated at six different locations with a total capacity of 4780 MWe. It runs with clear objectives of:

  • Maximising productivity and profitability of nuclear power stations.
  • Move towards increasing power generation considering safety and economy of resources as well.
  • To maintain quality assurance related to nuclear power programme.

  • To introduce state of the art technologies according to modernisation.
